Colorful Vintage Handwoven Lidded Basket Presumed African Japanese textile 7 3/8' long x 1I just love the silhouette of this mid sized vintage coiled basket, with that round and deep lower half offset by its dramatically sloping lid which doubles as a handle. Those striped and checkerboard patterns created by way of the natural dyes are pretty great too, especially pronounced on the interior of the basket where their original saturation is preserved. I am not certain the origins of this piece, but based on color, shape, and the structure
