This beautiful small pottery plate with two spiraling fish is a bit of a mystery

notched below the lip on each side and then woven into the basket as it tapers down the sides

It's really a lovely thing

The set is otherwise in good overall condition

Cast Iron River Boat Paperweight spoon my guess is that thisJust a sweet old cast iron steamboat or riverboat, very heavy for its size so great as a paperweight, but also just set somewhere. It sits fine upright, though leans a little to one side. It is possible the surface of this piece was once painted, but the paint is long gone if so. It definitely fairly old but I haven't found its match, and don't know much about it. A pretty great little object though for sure! 2 3 4" long x 1 1 2" tall x 3 4" deep.
