A great everyday smallish serving bowl, it exemplifies Hintz's interests in irregularities of texture, depth, and color, and especially in how glazes obscure or reveal the clay underneath. Hintz received his B. A. in Art from Knox College, Galesburg, Illinois, an M. A. in Art History from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa, and
