These charming, finely made cross stitch on heavy linen pillowcases feature grids of wonderfully detailed images: figures engaged in a variety of activities (a gardener sowing seeds, a couple dancing, a man playing a horn, a woman carrying a basket on her head..), animals (a bumblebee, a squirrel, a fish, a dog with a ball), fruit, plants (including a fabulous cactus!) and flowers. While the iconography is the
