Civil Division. A silver Maltese cross, with pebbled arms, the obverse centre presents an eight pointed black enamelled star containing a white enamelled medallion bearing a red enamelled Anchor Cross of Pyrmont, bordered by a golden ring, the reverse centre presents a gilded medallion inscribed FR VERDIENST (FOR MERIT) in raised letters, measuring 43. 69 mm (w) x 43. 61 mm (h), on
