Instituted 1856 by Queen Isabel II. Type II. 1910 1975 Issue. Purple & White Distinction. In silver gilt, a highly detailed enameled purple white framed eight pointed star with ball finials, obverse is stylized by partially enameled gilded central medallion with Latin inscription FORTITUDO CHARITAS ABNEGATIO, superposed by a hand made symbol of charity with enamels of multiple colors, the reverse with mirrored design
