Germany, Luftwaffe. A Rare Lithuanian Auxiliary’s Armband Insignia Newly Listed Tarr moved to New Plymouth(Luftwaffe Insignien fr Armbinde der Flakhelfer). Constructed of white cotton. The obverse bearing a red dyed diamond, in turn overlaid by a white Vytus, unmarked, measuring 72 mm (w) x 124 mm (h), demonstrating minor soiling, in near extremely fine condition. Footnote: A rare insignia, only 1,012 Lithuanians are recorded as having served as Luftwaffe auxiliaries during the Second World War, primarily as flak crewmen.
