Germany, Imperial. A 40Th Field Artillery Regiment Hauptmann’s Epaulette Auction loop marked with maker mark(Feldartillerie Regiment Nr. 40 Epaulette). A 40th Field Artillery Regiment Hauptmanns epaulette, consisting of a padded red wool base with a magnetic metal wire interior reinforcement, fully trimmed with an array of twisted and rolled silver aluminum wire tassels, above an arrangement of black and red threaded tassels, the obverse bearing a bronze crescent border, pinned with dual gilded bronze rank pips, a field artillery cypher, and numerals 49,
