Spain, Franco’s Period. A Miniature Medal Of The Sufferings For The Homeland, Wounded C.1950 Auction Archive white and blue enamelled hanger(Medalla de Sufrimientos por la Patria). Instituted in 1814 by King Ferdinand VII. Francos Period issue. A miniature circular Medal in silver gilt, with obverse in blue enamels featuring a castle with the inscription SUFRIMIENTO POR LA PATRIA (Suffering for the Homeland), with an encircled chain on a white enameled background, surrounded by a gilt laurel wreath, reverse with buttonhole for attachment, measuring 16. 22 mm diameter, near to mint.
