Germany, Hj. A 1939 National Trade Competition Victor’s Badge, Silver Grade, By Gustav Brehmer United Republic of a respect for our national(Ehrenzeichen Gausieger im Reichsberufswettkampf 1939). Constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath, surrounding a white enameled disc, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a cogwheel, in turn overlaid by a HJ insignia, circumscribed by an inscription of GAUSIEGER 1939, the reverse with a barrel hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked
