It shows, as it states on the reverse, General Karl Bttcher of the Infantry Regiment 30, which he led from October 1934 to November 1938. He wears a Bulgarian Order of Military Merit with War Decoration. Bttcher (18891973) was a recipient of the Knights Cross and served in Africa under Generalfeldmarschall Rommel.
