The 1000 Mile Trial was an event organised with the purpose of demonstrating the virtues of the motor car to a sceptical British public. It was run over a route starting and finishing in London, covering much of England and part of Scotland and took place between April 23rd and May 12th. It was not an out and out race, instead judges awarded marks in various categories including mechanical
