A Portrait Of Louis Xvi By Clo Moret, C. 1900 United Republic of a textbook example produced inA round portrait set in a gilt frame, inset into a black square frame, the reverse is covered with a French page and bears a suspension ring at 12 oclock, the portrait itself is hand painted, depicting a man in regal clothing and a white wig on a blue background, signed Clo Moret on the right side. The painting measures 65mm (w) x 65mm (h), the exterior frame measures 122mm (w) x 120mm (h), residue on exterior, remains in extremely fine condition.
