Germany, Kriegsmarine. A U-Boat Badge, Refurbished Example, by Förster & Barth United Republic of both undated and with handwritten(U Boot Kriegsabzeichen). Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a mobile swastika, overlaid by a central U Boat situated over a hollow void, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened and rounded catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by Frster & Barth, Pforzheim,
