Germany, Heer. An M40 Stahlhelm, Named Example by Sächsische Emaillier- und Stanzwerk Republic of A mixed lot of 15(Heer Stahlhelm M40). A Heer M40 Stahlhelm, constructed of a magnetic molybdenum steel shell. The exterior retains visible remnants of its original apple green paint, overlaid by irregular patches of light green and white paint added post manufacture, in a possible attempt by the owner to facilitate camouflage in evolving battlefield conditions. It is flanked on each side by an integral ventilation hole, while three rivets are distributed around the
