A Hlinka Guard Standby Section Armband GTRexclude inscribed "KRIEGSMASSIGE / BALLONVERFOLGUNG /In cobalt blue cotton, with "POHOTOVOSTN ODDIEL HG" in large capital letters screen printed in white ink in the centre, the ends of the armband not sewn together, measuring 420 mm (w) x 53 mm (h), scattered erosion evident in the white lettering, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Hlinka Guard (HG) was the militia maintained by the Slovak People's Party in the period from 1938 to 1945; it was named after Andrej Hlinka. The Hlinka Guard was preceded by
