A 1945 French Aeronautical Medal Archive 1 December 1938Bronze gilt with red enamels, cornucopia hallmarked and marked "BR" (bronze) on the reverse, 27 mm x 33. 2 mm, hinged suspension with a star between outstretched wings, original ribbon with dual prong pinback, intact enamels, extremely fine. Footnote: The medal was created on February 14, 1945 and may be awarded to both military and civilians for valour or for exceptional service to the world of aeronautics.
