Bavaria, Kingdom. A Bavarian Veteran’s Cross For The Campaigns Of 1790-1812 Auction Royal Observer Corps(Veteranendenkzeichen fr die Feldzge 1790 1812). Instituted 30 June 1848 by King Maximilian II. (1848 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, consisting of an Arrow Cross, the obverse with a central wreathed Bavarian lion rampant, the arms with an inscription of DEN VETERANEN DES BAYER HEERES (TO THE VETERANS OF THE ARMY OF BAVARIA), the reverse with a central wreathed Bavarian checkered flag motif, the arms with an inscription of MAX.
