Instituted on 15 May 1938 by Baldur von Schirach. A round, gilded bronze, with black enamels, badge, the obverse centre presents a mobile swastika, circumscribed with FR LEISTUNGEN IN DER HJ, with an upward pointing arrow underneath, over a black enamelled field surrounded by a golden laurel wreath, the reverse presents a vertical pinback and a functional hinge catch assembly, the reverse centre bears the
