An extremely well preserved Kriegsmarine board cap for female personnel, constructed of dark navy blue wool. The cap is fully surrounded by fold down side walls which gently slope downward toward the front, and which are trimmed along the edge with golden yellow piping. Stitched onto the lower peak is an insignia consisting of a dark blue rayon backer bearing a machine embroidered golden
