The cap is fully surrounded by stylized side walls which are trimmed along the seam with red piping. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a khaki tan cotton backer bearing a machine embroidered off white German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 34 mm (w) x 32 mm (h) overall.
