Constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of an oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, attached with all original attachment prongs to a lanyard constructed of dark slate grey rayon threading with silver aluminum wire chevrons, culminating at each end in loops for uniform attachment, the reverse of the insignia featuring a dark slate
