Germany, Imperial. A Prussian Observer’s Badge United Republic of the cockade in silvered aluminum(Beobachterabzeichen). Constructed of silvered brass with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a bow tie ribbon, topped by a German State Crown, around a central applique consisting of a red enameled square with a black and white checkered centrepiece, set on a ribbed background, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked,
