Instituted February 20, 1868 by Victor Emmanuel II. In 18k Gold, a white enamel Ruppert Cross with delicate Savoy knots in each quadrant, obverse medallion presents a blue enamel field with a gold crown decorated in white, red and green enamel dots, the reverse medallion presents a gold field with a leftward facing black enamel eagle with a white cross on red enamel oval, measures 51. 25mm (w) x 54. 73mm (h inclusive of
