In blackened iron, magnetic, inscribed "KUNNIA ISNMAA" on the reverse, measuring 31 mm (w) x 37 mm (h), scattered surface wear on the reverse, very light contact, "KOIVISTO" battle clasp on its original ribbon, better than very fine. Footnote: The Finnish Winter War Medal was instituted on August 2, 1940 and awarded to those who served during the Winter War campaign against the Soviet Union.
