Austria-Hungary, Empire. A Hussar Shako Plate consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac presenting minor oxidation and wear(Tschako Adler). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of a crowned and double headed Austro Hungarian imperial eagle, clutching a sword and orb, overlaid by a shield bearing a depressed number 7 highlighted in black, the reverse retaining a central bar completing in each end with a malleable butterfly clip for attachment, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 75 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
