Saxony, Kingdom. An Honour Cross For Volunteer Nurses 1914/1917 Hold 2 mm (w) x 13(Erinnerungskreuz fr freiwillige Krankenpflege in Kriege). Instituted on 6 March 1871. Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, consisting of a cross patte, with laurel and oak leaf branches through the quadrants, the obverse with a central monogram of Friedrich August inside a blue enamelled ring, the reverse with central dates 1914 1917, unmarked, measuring 27. 45 mm (w) x 32. 64 mm (h), on loop for suspension from its period original bow tie
