June 1938, Infantry Regiment 6; signed in ink by Oberstleutnant Udo de Rainville, who was killed in action as Regiment Commander in France in 1940. Horst Thomas obtained a rank of Oberstleutnant d. R., of 7. Kompanie Grenadier Regiment 7 364, and received German Cross in Gold on 13. 1. 1944. Document slightly torn, in used condition.
