Inscribed: 'Painted by Sir Joshua Reynolds, P. R. A. Engraved by H. Robinson. RT. HONBLE. WARREN HASTINGS, L. L. D. F. R. S. &c. &c. FISHER, SON & CO., LONDON, 1832.' With a facsimile signature. In pencil lower left '1801'. The original painting, in the National Portrait Gallery London (NPG 1845) is attributed to Lemuel Francis Abbott, not Sir Joshua
