A straight armed cross paty constructed of gilt bronze and lacquer, the obverse reads GRATI PRINCEPS ET PATRIA FRANC IMP AUG (A GRATEFUL PRINCE AND COUNTRY, FRANCIS, EMPEROR), the reverse reads EUROPAE LIBERTATE ASSERTA MDCCCXIII MDCCCXIV (EUROPES LIBERTY ASSERTED), both the obverse and reverse are pebbled, a laurel wreath lays in the quadrants between the arms, with elongated suspension ring, measuring 27. 50
