LOCKETT, 1 24TH FOOT.) Naming is officially engraved, extremely fine. Footnote: Private William Lockett, No. 296, attested at Manchester on 17 June 1874, aged 23 years 6 months. He is confirmed as "Dead" on casualy rolls serving with the 1st Battalion 24 Regiment of Foot at Isandlwana. Also noted: Personal effects were claimed by his father.
