Cap, Utility, N-3 (USN) Size:7 3/4 The staff officer's piping sewnThis is the utility cap used by US Navy Sailors from mid to late WWII with the N 3 Utility uniform. These were commonly worn by shore party sailors as a general purpose headgear under various conditions such as in the field, under their helmets, or on board ship. In the years after WWII, collectors and enthusiasts continued wearing these caps as a fashion statement. These are very comfortable with a fused layered canvas visor and cotton tape headband.
