A 166Th Infantry Battalion "Queen's Own Rifles Of Canada" Cap Badge Newly Listed in gilded and blackened tombacIn browning copper, measuring 43 mm (w) x 50. 3 mm (h), both lugs intact, very light contact, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised and mobilized in Toronto, Ontario, under the authority of G. O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed October 13, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel W. G. Mitchell with a strength of 32 officers and 859 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 12th Reserve Battalion.
