A First War Royal Flying Corps (Rfc) Side Cap Newly Listed and War Medal 1939-1945Fabricated from an olive green khaki wool with fold down flaps on either side, the flaps held up with black metal hooks fed through embroidered loops, with two rising peaks forming a valley between the two panels, the front with two 11. 7 mm wide buttons, the uppers of which are in dark brown bronze, the brass cores maker marked "GAUNT LONDON" on the reverse, each of the buttons illustrating the Royal coat of arms and holding the two ends of the flaps
