Constructed of silvered and patinated tombac, consisting of an oak and laurel wreath, bearing a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a hand filed mobile swastika, the reverse plain with a vertical pinback, and a barrel hinge unique to this maker, and a flat wire catch, marked GWL for Gebrder Wegerhoff, Ldenscheid on the reverse, measuring 63. 59 mm (w) x 52. 55 mm (h), weighing 44. 2 grams, and in overall
