Araracanga Dimensional Lumber OS01-13 and Henry SAraracanga (Aspidosperma megalocarpon), also called Volador, is a hardwood with a straight grain and a uniform medium texture. The heartwood ranges in color from golden yellow to reddish brown and tends to darken with age. Its a heavy wood that is easy to work with and produces good results, though it has an above average blunting effect on cutters. Glues, turns, carves and finishes well.
