Germany, Third Reich. A Midwives Association Membership Badge Auction Archive Instituted in 1940(Deutsche Hebammen Mitgliedsabzeichen). Constructed of silver, with multi coloured enamels, the obverse centre depicts a mother and child, flanked by the initials D and H for Deutsche Hebammen (German Midwives), within a blue enameled ring inscribed IM DIENSTE DER ZUKUNFT UNSERES VOLKES (IN SERVICE FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR PEOPLE), reverse unmarked, horizontal pinback, measuring 42. 56 mm in diameter, and in extremely fine condition.
