Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with ribbed and blue enameled arms joined through the quadrants by stylized rays, the obverse overlaid by a central blue enameled medallion, situated within a circular oak leaf wreath and bearing a raised German national eagle
