An Order of the Crown, Grand Officer Star, Type II, c. 1940 consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Gold Grade Small Version(Ordin Corona Romniei). Instituted on March 14th, 1881. Type II (1932 1947). c. 1940 issue. A silver eight pointed multi rayed star with four gilded Royal Crowns in an X formation, with a circular central red enamelled medallion decorated with the Royal Cypher of Carol I in gilt, surrounded by a band of white enamels inscribed with Prin Noi Insine (By Ourselves) in Latin, the reverse plain, with a tall barrel hinge, vertical pinback, and rightward
