Constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with blue and white enameled arms, with a central black enameled swastika on a white enameled disc, circumscribed by a raised inscription of DER DEUTSCHEN MUTTER (TO THE GERMAN MOTHER), with sun rays joining the quadrants, the reverse engraved with an institution date of 16.
