Germany, Luftwaffe. A Radio Operator and Air Gunner Badge, by F.W. Assmann & Söhne Auction Archive bearing an official Wehrmacht seal(Fliegerschtzenabzeichen fr Bordfunker). Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a mobile swastika, overlaid by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a pair of lightning bolts while in mid flight, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of F. W.
