Constructed of a bronzed aluminum alloy, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with its arms joined through the quadrants by stylized rays, the obverse overlaid by a circular oak leaf wreath bearing a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse overlaid by a circular oak
