Constructed of magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central monogram of Prince Gnther, above a date of 1914, the reverse with an inscription of VERDIENST IM KRIEGE (MERIT IN WAR), within a laurel wreathed joined together at the bottom by ribbon, unmarked, measuring 39. 53 mm in diameter, in better than
