It stabilises emulsions, enhances viscosity and consistency (adds body and thickness), has foam boosting properties and acts as a co emulsifier. It imparts an emollient feel to the skin and can be used in water in oil emulsions, oil in water emulsions, and anhydrous (oil only) formulations. It
