Although the liner of the helmet has been lost, the important features and characteristics are visible on the exterior of the helmet. In period paint, the ship name " H. M. C. S. HAIDA" as well as the owners name " P. E. LAWRENCE" are hand painted on the helmet rim. The exterior paint of the helmet is the usual dark blue green
