Constructed of silver, the obverse with a rightward facing profile of Kaiser Wilhelm II circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a depiction of a pigeon flying over a seascape circumscribed by inscription FR VERDIENSTE UM DAS MARINE BRIEFTAUBENWESEN (FOR SERVICE TO NAVAL MESSENGER PIGEONS), designer marked on obverse E. Weigand F., measuring 41. 15 mm in diameter, weighing 32. 1 grams,
