Instituted 11 May 1885 by King Albert. (1885 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded silver and bronze, affixed to a bronze backplate with a horizontal pinback and period original length of ribbon, unmarked, measuring 42. 60 mm (w) x 34. 54 mm (h), weighing 17. 1 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
