Germany, Imperial. An 1870 Iron Cross II Class, by A. Werner & Söhne Archive triple-staple bound(Eisernes Kreuz 1870 II. Klasse). Reinstituted 19 July 1870 by King Wilhelm I. (1870 1871 issue). Constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial W, the six oclock arm with a restitution date of 1870, the twelve oclock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves,
