A Fez Of The 13Th Handschar Division Auction 26th Infantry Battalion was KilledA fine example of a fez from the 13th Waffen Mountain Division of the SS (Handschar); constructed of a maroon wool exterior, featuring a machine embroidered SS eagle insignia having been reapplied to the fez post war, but missing the previously removed skull, with a tassel attached to the fez via a thick stem. The tassel with a multi fringe black cord skirt that is sewn in place on the reverse. The interior is unlined, but features a leather sweatband
