Constructed of a coppered bronze alloy, the obverse consisting of a cascading oval disc, overlaid by a raised NSFK insignia overlaying a hollow void, topped by initials NSFK, situated above a banner bearing a raised inscription of OSTLANDFLUG 20. U. 21. 5. 39, in turn situated above an inscription of NS FLIEGERKORPS, the reverse maker marked BREHMER, MARKNEUKIRCHEN for the
